Rules and Policies
The following are the Rules and Regulations of DANCE CENTRAL performing arts, LLC. Please read this carefully, the parent must agree to all of the DCPA Terms and Conditions upon registration.
General Policies
- All class placement is left to the discretion of the Artistic Director and Instructor. At any time, we reserve the right to change a student’s class based on appropriate age and/or skill level.
- Every child is considered to be a registered student of Dance Central performing arts, LLC until the recital in June. Therefore, you are responsible for tuition, costume payments and any other expenses until that time. If your child stops dancing, for any reason, you must notify the studio by telephone, and Certified Letter to the Administrative Director. You will continue to be responsible for all expenses until that time.
- Substitutes will teach class if regular instructor is unavailable. Schedule is subject to change. Classes will be closed when full. Each instructor determines class size. We must have a minimum of four students in order to keep a class open.
- No more than one absence is permitted per two month period, unless accompanied by a doctor’s note. No more than one absence permitted per month in April, May and June. Excessive absence may result in a student being unable to participate in the recital. A child can make up a class in the same genre, age and level class until March 1st. Make ups must be done within the month of the missed class.
- There are NO REFUNDS for missed classes. Any class may be made up in an alternate class of same genre/age/ability level through March 1st, after which recital choreography has begun and it will not benefit the child to take a class outside their scheduled classes. Please note that Dance Central allows for 4 cancellations of any kind. If we miss more than 4 days due to weather, teacher illness or emergencies, the class will either be rescheduled or you may make it up in another class time.
- Students should arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled class time, to put on shoes, get dress and be prepared for classes to start on time.
- The dress code is verbally discussed with Administrative Director at the time of registration, and a copy has been posted on our website and in the studio. ALL UNIFORM APPAREL WILL BE SOLD ON OUR WEBSITE.
- Students arriving more than 10 minutes late will be asked to leave class, this will be considered an absence
- No cell phones allowed in class. Cell phones must be turned off and left outside the classroom. Please call the office phone to reach your child during class time.
- No food or gum chewing is permitted in dance room. WATER is the ONLY beverage permitted in the dance room, or lobby. ABSOLUTELY no eating is allowed in the lobby.
- Dance Central performing arts, LLC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Safety Policies
Our students' safety is of primary importance. Parents/Guardians should arrive to pick up their child before the class ends. All students should be picked up on time and should not be left in the studio. Please make sure your child does not leave the studio without Parents/Guardians consent.
- Students are not permitted to leave the classroom without the instructor’s permission.
- Students are not permitted to leave the studio during class time.
- Only registered and enrolled students may be in the dance studio rooms. If a sibling/parent stays for duration of the class they must wait in the lobby waiting area. If you will be late at pick-up you must call the front desk to make appropriate arrangements.

Private Classes
Privates are only given with the approval of the Artistic Director. Taking a private class does not automatically make you eligible to dance with the instructor. Students do not perform with instructors unless given permission from the Artistic Director.

If any of these rules are broken, the student will be addressed by the Instructor and the Artistic Director. Parents will be notified. Student may loose recital, competition and Company privileges.
